Frequently Asked Questions

What is STG Soccer Academy?

STG Soccer Academy is a hybrid academic + soccer training program designed for serious players. Students complete a structured academic block in the morning and train in a high-intensity soccer environment in the afternoon.

Who is STG Soccer Academy for?

Players who are serious about improving and competing at a higher level. This is not a recreational program. It is for serious students and soccer players. We are currently enrolling 6th-8th graders, although we encourage all grades to apply so we can try to accommodate demand.

Do you accept high school students?

High school students may be accepted on a limited, case-by-case basis.

Because the program is designed around a middle school cohort, we only include high school players when:

  • The training environment remains appropriate
  • Session quality and intensity are maintaine
  • Group dynamics and scheduling align

Applying is the best way to determine availability and fit.

How do I join the academy?

Start by submitting an application. From there, we will work to select players we believe fit best for the program.

What is the daily schedule?

  • 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM: Academic block
  • 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Soccer training
  • Monday – Thursday

This structure allows players to develop both academically and athletically in a focused environment.

What should players expect from training?

In short, the same high standard players have come to expect from STG Soccer Skills:

  • High-intensity sessions
  • Technical skill development
  • Game-realistic drills
  • Accountability and coaching feedback

Players are expected to work, focus, and improve consistently.

How many days per week is training?

Soccer training runs Monday through Thursday, 12 – 2 PM, with consistent weekly structure.

Is everyone accepted after applying?

No. We review each application to ensure the player is a strong fit for:

  • The training environment
  • Program expectations
  • Group dynamics

How are players grouped?

Players are grouped based on a combination of:

  • Skill level
  • Age
  • Development needs

This ensures a competitive and productive training environment.

How many players are in each group?

We keep groups intentionally small (4-8 players) to allow for:

  • More coaching attention
  • Higher repetition
  • Better development outcomes

Can my player still play for a club or school team?

Yes. Players use this program to supplement and accelerate their development alongside team play.

Can my player still play for a club or school team?

In most cases, yes. Many players use this program to supplement and accelerate their development alongside team play.

What if we're already paying for an STG Soccer Skills membership?

This would replace your STG training membership and help offset costs. Players can still come to other afternoon sessions if they wish. This replaces the Elite Unlimited Membership.
