Apply NowIs this a school? Will my child be homeschooled?
STG Soccer Academy is a microschool learning center, not a traditional school. Students are considered homeschoolers and parents retain legal responsibility. In Utah, no formal Notice of Intent is required, and we guide you through withdrawing from your current school seamlessly.
Can my child still play for their local school's team?
Yes! Utah's HB 324 allows homeschool students to participate in public school sports. Your athlete can train with us daily and still try out for their local team. We encourage it — the more reps, the better.
What if my child has an IEP or 504 plan?
Every child learns differently. While we don't write our own IEPs or 504s, we review existing documentation and tailor instruction to provide the best possible support for your child.
How involved do I need to be as a parent?
Parent involvement is always welcome, but not required during the program day. Your child receives complete instruction on-site. We don't send home busy work — only meaningful projects your child is excited to finish.
We travel a lot — is there flexibility?
Absolutely. As long as you give your child's coach advance notice, we'll create plans to keep them on track. Attendance is structured but not rigid.
What if my child wants to play college soccer?
That's exactly what we're building toward. All students receive the academic and athletic foundation required for NCAA eligibility. We understand the recruitment process and ensure every athlete is prepared.
